Successful Wedding Event

Set Up Your Filmstacker Wedding Event

  • Find a quality landscape photo of you and your spouse and upload it as your pages hero image.
  • Create a greeting stack to send to everyone invited to your wedding.
  • Record and upload a clip which includes what you'd like your guests to upload. Make sure this Stack is set to published and featured.
  • Start additional collaborative Stack drafts for pre-wedding activities including venue shopping, finding the perfect dress, or your bachelorette party.
  • If there is going to be a videographer at your wedding, make them aware of Filmstacker and make them a producer on the wedding event.
  • Generate QR Code, print and include it on the Save the Date mailing.

Weeks Leading Up to Your Wedding

  • Ask your close friends and family to record videos when spending time together during wedding related activities leading up to your big day. 

The Day Before Your Wedding

  • For Rehearsal video, upgrade key guests to "producer" (groomsmen for reception and parents for ceremony) to record video, make them responsible, I(IE moderation is selected, these producers  can review and approve contributed stacks.) Producers receive an email automatically with additional instructions.

The Big Wedding Day

  • Make sure to record getting ready, first looks, family, well wishes and advice.

Ceremony

  • Parents are often seated up front and can get good video of the ceremony, tell them to keep the clips less than 10 seconds.

Reception

  • Film food and beautiful wedding settings, film couple during the photo shoot.
  • During speeches, remind the guests to record and upload and point them to the URL and QR code.

After the Wedding

  • Encourage via email or other means guests to upload clips they recorded
  • Guests may record additional post wedding activities or advice, or thank you's, especially on destination weddings, those can be really great.
  • Publish the collaborative drafts so that they become viewable stack in the recents carousel.
  • If content is moderated, remember to review it and approve what you want the guests to see.
  • Arrange a highlight stack and consider sharing it with the thank you correspondence. 
  • Feature the highlight reel and other great stacks to move them to the top of the page for any guests who are visiting the wedding event.
